Does access control cost extra?

Access control is included when you subscribe to the Twind platform. Some advanced features, such as field use via the mobile app, are purchased separately. Our sales team will explain what each option includes based on how you operate.

Does it work on construction sites or areas with no signal?

Yes. The Twind app has an offline mode that lets you keep verifying access without a connection and syncs the records once signal is restored. Configuration details depend on your type of facility.

How is this different from a traditional access control system (turnstiles, cards, biometrics)?

Your system verifies identity. Twind's access control module verifies compliance. You can have the right card and still be blocked because your health and safety training expired yesterday. It's the difference between "this person exists in the system" and "this person is cleared to work on your site today under safety regulations".

Can it integrate with turnstiles, barriers or plant systems?

Twind offers an API to integrate with physical access control systems and ERPs. Available integrations and timelines depend on your technical environment.

How long does it take to get up and running?

It depends on the number of work sites and contractors, and on the documentation you already have uploaded. Our implementation team will give you a plan with specific timelines once they understand your case.

What if I haven't uploaded all the documentation yet?

The module works from day one: it shows compliance status based on whatever has been uploaded and flags what's missing. As the documentation is completed, access status updates automatically.

Can I block someone's access even if their documentation is in order?
